PulseX cardio dance fitness program:

Duration: 60 minutes

Equipment: comfortable workout clothes and shoes, water bottle

Warm-Up (5-7 minutes)

  • Start with a light jog or marching in place to get your heart rate up

  • Move onto dynamic stretches to warm up your muscles, including arm circles, shoulder rolls, hip circles, leg swings, and ankle rotations

  • Gradually increase the intensity with simple dance moves, such as step-touches, grapevines, and cha-cha steps, to get you in the groove

Section 1: Latin-Inspired Cardio Dance (20 minutes)

  • Begin with easy-to-follow Latin dance moves, such as salsa, merengue, and cumbia, to get your heart pumping

  • Intensify the workout with faster and more complex choreography, incorporating arm movements, shimmies, and turns

  • Switch to hip-hop dance moves, incorporating popping, locking, and breaking

  • Incorporate cardio exercises such as high knees, jump squats, and plyometric lunges

  • Add challenges like floor work, such as push-ups, planks, and sit-ups, to engage your core and upper body

Cool-Down (10-12 minutes)

  • Slow down the pace with calming stretches, including hamstring stretches, quad stretches, and hip openers

  • Incorporate gentle yoga-inspired movements, such as forward folds, cat-cows, and child's pose
